The Action brings together researchers conducting research into various aspects of surveillance. Individual research effort funded by participating institutions and funding agencies is coordinated and concerted through the Action via the establishment of open scientific Working Groups supervised and coordinated by a Management Committee. The main activities supported by the programme include, meetings, workshops, an annual conference, scientific missions, a doctoral school and support for publications.
