Among my research priorities I am focused on analysing strategies for crime prevention and privacy issues. I am interested in crime prevention strategies from social and situational perspectives. In this context, I am especially concerned with privacy issues and human dignity as a key factor to be considered in implementing situational and personal crime prevention.
Also my research interests are related to cybercrime, youth crime, white-collar and business crime. All such interests are focused through an interdisciplinary approach, understanding Criminology as an integrative discipline by which one can find better solutions for the challenging issues to solve. Other fields of my research are CCTV systems and video-surveillance, its ethical limits and the due respect to privacy; resiliency and its relation with self-control levels, family structure and educational styles. Sex crimes, especially child pornography and other emergent issues as the so-called "sexting".
