After having finished my undergraduate studies in chemistry in 2003 I started to enrol myself in science and technology studies. Under supervision of Ulrike Felt I completed my doctoral thesis about practices of giving consent to skin tissue donation in 2010 at the Department of Social Studies of Science, University of Vienna. During my time as a PhD student I also worked as a researcher and lecturer at the same department and as a management assistant at the Graduate School of Social Sciences, University of Vienna. Since 2011 I am part of the "Laboratory: Social Anthropology of Science and Technology" at the Institute of European Ethnology, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. My current research interests include the sociology/anthropology of knowledge and ignorance as well as the sociology of time. Thereby I put my focus on medical practices of diagnosing and on biomedical surveillance technologies.
