Gloria González Fuster is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law and Criminology of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where she is working on a thesis on the emergence of the right to personal data protection as an autonomous fundamental right in the European Union (EU). Member of the interdisciplinary Research Group on Law, Science, Technology & Society (LSTS), she is currently contributing to the EU-funded Privacy and Security Mirrors (PRISMS) project. Her research interests include data protection, privacy, security, EU fundamental rights and, broadly, the articulations between law and technology.
