Dr Miriam Lips is the inaugural Professor of e-Government at Victoria University of Wellington, with positions in the School of Information Management and the School of Government, and a Research Associate at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford. Her Chair at Victoria University is sponsored by Datacom systems Limited, State Services Commission , Department of Internal Affairs, FX Networks Limited and Microsoft NZ. Miriam’s research concentrates more generally on the introduction, management and use of Information and Communication Technologies in the public sector and its external relationships with society. Current research topics include citizen identity management, cross-government information sharing and privacy, citizen-centric government, e-records management, the use of new media by political parties, and e-participation.
