Dr. Marin’s research background is the constitutional analysis of European criminal law cooperation. More specifically, Luisa investigates the implications of governance regimes and regulatory choices on constitutional rules and concepts and tries to provide suggestions on how to “adjust” them, with the traditional toolkit of constitutionalism.

Her research focuses on the European Arrest Warrant and its implementation into domestic legal orders, and more generally on the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice and its governance. Recently Luisa has broadened her interests toward technology and surveillance (LiSS, Living in Surveillance Societies).
